Since 1963, Jack Tyler Engineering Inc., has been working to provide our customers with superior, full-service solutions for new Environmental, Industrial, and Commercial Equipment, and quality used Environmental, Industrial, and Commercial Equipment. We serve a wide range of markets including municipal, food, chemical, utilities, HVAC, and general process industries. We strive to be an essential partner with our customers by addressing their needs and meeting or exceeding their expectations. Jack Tyler Engineering maintains an extensive inventory to service our market area, plus we have access to millions of dollars of factory inventory through computer networks. Our inventory includes pumps, air compressors, repair kits and OEM replacement parts.  We are at your service 24 hours a day offering sales and support for pumps, process equipment, air compressors, blowers, and other rotating equipment. We also offer expertise in SCADA systems (satellite & cellular), pumps, air compressors, and blowers.  Additionally, we also offer equipment packaging and fabrication capabilities.

Our Founder, Jack L. Tyler P.E.

Mr. Tyler graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1948.  During his time in college, he put his studies on hold to serve our country in WWII in the U.S. Navy.  After his service and after his graduation, he accepted a position with Phillips Chemical Company.  He excelled there as a Project Engineer and was quickly promoted.  Mr. Tyler became a registered Professional Engineer in 1953.  He then left Phillips and took a position as a Sales Engineer for Goulds Pumps.  With a solid foundation in hydraulics, pneumatics, and steam power equipment, Mr. Tyler started Jack Tyler Engineering Company on June 1, 1963 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Mr. Tyler said, "I chose the path of Sales Engineering through distributorships and being a manufacturer's rep because I loved solving problems, and I loved working with people.  I took pride in my work and recruited talented people around me to do the same."  
Mr. Tyler retired in 1992 and continues to give advice when asked. He laughed as he said, "I still pick up the phone when they call me!"
​Now, fifty five years and two generations later, his legacy continues through his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.

Our Owners, Cindy & Sherman Eoff

Cindy started working in the family business when she was eleven.  Her mom and dad started Jack Tyler Engineering Company in their living room.  Her dad traveled and called on potential customers while her mom typed the invoices.  As the business grew, an office was built, and Cindy spent her summers filing and answering the phone.
“I am so proud of my dad for starting his own business.  I remember sitting down next to him when I was 9, and he was trying to come up with a logo for his new company.
He looked over at the fireplace and saw his JT branding iron.  In 1944, Dad had been selected “Outstanding 4H Club Boy in the United States” and had received a four year scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin.  After he saw his branding iron, he yelled, ‘I’ve got it!’  He drew the logo and said he needed two colors, and one color had to be burnt orange in honor of the University of Texas.
I told him the other color had to be blue, because that was my favorite color.  The logo has been burnt orange and turquoise blue since 1963.”
Sherman and Cindy met at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and got married in 1976.  Sherman started working for Jack Tyler Engineering Company at age 22.
"I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to work at Jack Tyler Engineering Company and to learn from my father-in-law.  He really took the time to teach me the fundamentals of engineering. He also passed down the details of how to run a business.  I'm thrilled that I now get to pass on my forty+ years of experience to our son, Stephen."

The 3rd Generation, Stephen Tyler Eoff

"My first job with the company was as the janitor at age seven.  Dad would take my sister and me to the office with him on Saturday mornings.  My sister would file, and I would take out the trash and clean the offices.  I continued to clean the office every weekend until I graduated high school.  During my summers in high school, I lived with my grandfather and worked with him every day.  Between Mom, Dad and Granddad, I felt like I had a great business degree before I even started college. "  Stephen graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering.  
"After college, Dad encouraged me to work for a large corporation and get a better understanding of corporate America and the "real world".”  After ten years of doing a mix of engineering, sales, and sales-management for two Fortune 500 Companies, I called Dad in January 2013 and said I was ready to come into the family business.  I just knew it was the right time, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to stand on the shoulders of my grandfather and father and continue our family business.  In 2018, my wife and I were able to adopt our three foster children.  Seeing their start in life and seeing mine, I recognize that neither they, nor I deserved the families we were born into.  I'm very fortunate.
​Who knows?!  Maybe one of my six children or one of my sister's three children will want to be the fourth generation at Jack Tyler Engineering, Inc.  It is my desire to give them the same opportunity I've been given."
